Bethel Baptist Church Preschool meets from 9 AM to 1 PM Monday through Friday of each week. Children must be at least 1year of age to be enrolled and no older than pre-kindergarten age. Contact the Director for more information.
All children enrolled must submit a Registration Form, up-to-date immunization record as well as record of child’s birth certificate to verify their age and identity.

Our Weekday Preschool classes and goals consist of:
The Busy Bees Class
Ages 12 months - 24 months
Our Bees may be little, but they sure are busy! This class will help your little one with their first experiences away from Mom & Dad. In addition to their daily Bible story, they sing songs, read books, play games and do some simple crafts. We begin counting and saying our ABCs as well as work on social skills, sharing, manners and sharing lots of love.
The Bouncing Bunnies
Younger 2 year olds
Being two is terrific at our school! In the Bunnies class your child will learn basic classroom essentials like manners, sharing, taking turns and getting along! In addition to their daily Bible story, they do lots of fun crafts, dramatic play, read lots of books, work puzzles, play games and building fun! In this class we focus on shapes and colors as well as begin number and letter recognition. They have discovery centers, home-living, cooking experiences and more!
The Tumbling Turtles
Older 2 and Younger 3 year olds
In the Turtles class your child will review basic classroom essentials like manners, sharing, taking turns and getting along! In addition to their daily Bible story, they do lots of fun crafts, dramatic play, read lots of books, work puzzles, play games and building fun! Children will begin to discuss weather, and review of shapes and colors as well as work on number and letter recognition. They have discovery centers, home-living, cooking experiences and more!
The Playful Puppies Class
Older 3 year olds
Three is a tremendous age here! In the Puppies class your child will continue to learn basic social skills and begin to focus on school essentials as well! We focus on recognition of shapes, colors, numbers and letters. In addition the daily Bible story, they explore the world around them by discussing weather, simple science experiments, dramatic play, arts and crafts and of course lots of fun. They read lots of books, work puzzles and play games! They have discovery centers, home-living and cooking experiences too!
The Fun Frogs Class
4 & 5 year olds--Pre-K Class
Our four year olds have fun, fun, fun! This adventurous Pre-K Frogs class will work on letter and number recognition, beginning phonics, fun games and reading cool books. They will also be running, jumping, building, socializing and playing! In addition the daily Bible story, this class focuses on several skills to get your child ready to enter the Elementary school world. This is very important transitional class for our children and they are very busy learning each and every day. We hold evaluations in the Spring for our Frogs class. Children must be potty-trained to enter the Frogs class.

In addition to the curriculum offered by your child’s class, each class has free play during each day. During cold and rainy weather we have playtime in our fellowship hall where we pull out ride-on toys and balls. When the weather permits we have outside play time on our playground. We have a great fenced playground that meets all safety regulations for children ages 2 and above.
Additionally each week your child will attend several different classes on a rotating schedule. These classes include: Music, Cooking for Kids, Chapel (with our Pastor), Storyteller (with a local librarian) and Kid Fit gym class.
At Bethel Baptist Church Preschool we believe that age-appropriateness needs to coincide with our curriculum through both academic and learning through play. Our program allows each child to experience active learning by providing hands-on learning, exploration, problem-solving and reflection. Learning materials and teaching styles are responsive to the age and individual differences of children. We see the importance of learning through play and of learning very important socialization skills, while acknowledge that academic instruction in the older classes is necessary to adequately prepare our students for Kindergarten. We wish to be a joyful and rewarding beginning to each child’s school life.
